Brief Description
Herrera de Alcántara still retains several sources that were formerly used to supply residents of the village. One of them is the so-called Socialist source, well known for tracing its origin to the time of the Republic.
Although the source, already not potable water, is at the beginning of the route Mirador de Negrales, the area is equipped with benches and tables which make the function of picnic area or resting space; shortly after this point, the trail starts to move through areas where the vegetation becomes thicker.
