Contemporary Music Festival

You are in Index Fiestas Contemporary Music Festival

Brief Description

The festival began in 1996 and has become one of the most important music festivals in Spain. It brings together artists from the national indie scene and provides a dynamic formula that is far different from larger festivals, as it consists of a single stage, is only two or three days long and has a limited capacity.

The festival is held in the Hillside Walk, located on the southern slope of the Luna Castle. From the music venue, visitors can glimpse the extraordinary landscape of Extremadura that surrounds it, including the San Pedro Sierra with its forests of oak and cork trees, and Portugal in the distance.
